Cemetery at Beit Haverim/South Metro Jewish Congregation

Committee Contact: Constance Dorreman

A brief overview of our cemetery

We have created a Jewish section within the existing boundaries of Oswego Pioneer Cemetery.

We are pleased to offer financing to assist both members and non-members with their plot purchase.

At this time, we have purchased ten plots and have reserved ninety more. Our section will be delineated by four permanent markers. Cemetery policies have been established and are available at the Beit Haverim/South Metro Jewish Congregation office. While we are one of the few Jewish cemeteries to allow for the internment of non-Jewish spouses, only Jewish Ritual and Symbolism will be allowed at the cemetery.

We are committed to making plot purchase affordable for our members. Currently, traditional plots are available for $2,438, and urn internments can be purchased for $1,706. These prices will rise at an annual basis in accordance with our price of purchase. We are happy to sell plots to non-members at slightly higher prices. At this time, non-members may purchase a traditional burial site for $3,656, or arrange for urn internment for $2,559.

The above prices are just for the burial site. Fees for opening and closings, and the installation of liners are extra. Payment plans can be arranged. Call the office at (503) 344-4839 for more information.
